Production Alfa Romeo 4C debuting at 2013 Geneva Motor Show will mark the return of Italian brand to U.S.

Representing the true essence of a super sports car at the heart of famed Alfa Romeo’s DNA which includes high-performance, timeless Italian style and technical excellence, offering unmatched driving satisfaction with utmost safety, here’s the mid-engined rear-wheel drive coupe, the production version Alfa Romeo 4C which will make its debut at the 83rd International Motor Show in Geneva. Marking the return of Italian brand to the U.S. and inaugurating Alfa Romeo’s global growth plan, the new compact supercar 4C designed by Alfa Romeo Style Centre and produced in the Maserati’s Modena plant, will be made available for grabs this year. Besides, we have also recently seen that Mazda and Fiat signs agreement which sets the impressive Pininfarina Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta Concept for production in year 2015. The production model looks just as sweet as the concept we saw a while ago with the exception of a few minor tweaks on the headlamps, tail lights, and side mirrors.

Notably, the vehicle’s acronym ‘4C’ draws its inspiration from the Alfa Romeo’s great sporting tradition and glorious past. This powerful machine will come equipped with state-of-the-art technology and finest materials derived from super sports cars, including the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizone.

Under the hood, the 4C will feature the all-new turbocharged gas all-aluminium 4 cylinder 1750 Turbo Petrol engine from the Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde.

Additionally, it boasts ultra-advanced technical solutions including direct fuel injection, a turbocharger, dual continuous variable valve timing, and a revolutionary scavenging control system that gets rid of any turbo lag.
