Antro Group’s Moveo lightweight electric-scooter folds for storage and rolls smartly like a suitcase
Especially designed to provide convenience, inexpensive mobility in
urban areas while radically reducing the negative effects of extensive
vehicle use, we have over the times seen some of the finest lightweight,
foldable scooters and bikes like the MIT’s RoboScooter, the Voltitude bike which can be folded and unfolded in just one second, the Batribike Micro, and the Brompton Bike
that tucks neatly into handsome leather-covered trunk, but nothing
beats the MOVEO, an ultra-lightweight electric scooter that folds up for
easy storage, and can be wheeled along like a rolling suitcase via an
integrated handle. Weighing just 25 kg, the carbon-composite scooter
MOVEO which is propelled by in-wheel motors in both of its wheels has
been impressively developed by Hungarian non-profit organization, the
Antro Group which is dedicated to developing environmentally-friendly
forms of transportation. However, this advanced scooter that also comes
with pedal generator is not in production yet, but will be made
available to environment-friendly bike lovers in the coming year.
Notably, the work on the bike began back in year 2008, and now after 5
years of hard work, a functioning prototype on the road and the Antro
Group is seeking business partners to help fund the successful
commercial development of the scooter.
This prototype version has a top speed of 28 mph, and a battery range of
35 kilometers per charge, which impressively takes 1 hour from empty.
However, the pricing of the scooter totally depends on the funds, if the
Antro Group gets the sufficient funding then its price will be $3,100,
and if not the price will be $4,600.
